WHO ARE WE?

Peter Ackerman  The international Catholic movement of the Inflexible Church is of German origin. It was founded in Cologne in 1998 by Markus Hermann (1955-2002). The current European president is Peter Ackerman. Our non-profit-making association is coordinated through an annual general meeting, the members of which elect the Committee and the President.

Our vocation

We are:
For spiritual research into dialogue between the different religious and philosophical traditions.
For a free debate into the Catholic Church, with regard to its operation and its relationship towards the men and women in today's society.
Against Western depravity, all types of fundamentalism and sect-related practices.

"Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage"
(Galatians 5:1)

Our resources

To more effectively accomplish our work of restoring the traditional Christian values, our efforts focus on:

  • Study: training sessions, conventions, working committees, meeting centres, study trips, youth forums.
  • Prayer: prayer vigils, mass, retreats, international journeys.
  • Action: genuine gestures of reconciliation and solidarity, protests against war and injustice. Fight for disarmament, anti-abortion operations, visits and fact-finding missions to hotspots and war-torn areas, conscientious objection, racism and refugees, ecumenical councils.
